Listing our General Expenses as well as our Wishlist, for helping the children.
At THE POTTERS HAVEN we have a great deal of expenses in taking care of the children for just the normal running of the house for a great deal of children.
Some of our general expenses included, but is not limited to:
Water & Electricity R 2 000 every 3rd day - which gives only 500 units. Considering just the washing and an industrial tumble dryer for rainy days, for 10 plus children per day, including school uniforms, electricity does not last long.
Another great need is food for between 10-20 Children. Any assistance in Food, meat, fruit and vegetables.
Toiletries & Sanatory products,
General cleaning Products.
They need gas for operating their stove, and 48Kg Gas for the Shower. Thus, the gas is also about R2000 a month.
Fuel needs is about R 1 400 per week for transport to schools and back. Then also Toll Gate money. We also need funds for vehicle maintenance.
Pharmacy Account - We have children with permanent disabilities, with two that are wheelchair bound. We also have children with serious health concerns on chronic medication.
Crafting Materials, And Stationary for the office and for School Needs.
School clothing and Sport Clothing. And also Casual home and Sleep wear.
Some Urgent Needs:
* The Roof is leaking, and in urgent need of repairs.
* They also require a 12 Kva Generator for the times the power goes out.
* Floor tiles is required where old carpets had to be removed.
* House also need to be painted, especially in the inside.
* We also need gardening tools.
* After School Activities / and sporting activities
* We need a low maintenance Printer
* Music Lessons
* Self-defence Classes.
Our Wishlist:
a Holiday for 12-15 Children
A Visit to the Zoo, with transport and snacks for the day.
A special treat every now and then, to make them feel special!
